Our story

This is personal. This is family.

Jasani family

The family that inspires every step.

The Jasani Foundation began with two people Aarav loves deeply: his mom, Alpa, and his uncle, Dinesh. Both received life-changing IBD diagnoses in 2004, one in India and one in the United States. Their journeys showed their family that Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis can be invisible to the world while shaping every day for the people who live with them.

Aarav grew up watching them meet painful flare-ups, appointments, and uncertainty with remarkable courage. He created this foundation to make sure more people understand IBD, more families feel supported, and more energy goes toward finding a cure.

Every mile we walk, every story we share, and every dollar we raise moves us closer to the future they deserve.

The people behind the mission

Aarav Jasani

Founder

Aarav Jasani

“I grew up watching two of the strongest people I know face this disease with courage. This foundation is my way of turning that strength into action.”

A high school student from Fredericksburg, Virginia, Aarav founded the Jasani Foundation in 2026 to turn a family story into a community movement.

Alpa Jasani

A mother. A source of strength.

Alpa Jasani

“Her courage reminds our family that strength is not always loud. Sometimes it is simply choosing hope, again and again.”

Alpa has lived with Ulcerative Colitis since her diagnosis in India in 2004. Her resilience is at the heart of this foundation.

Dinesh Jasani

An uncle. An inspiration.

Dinesh Jasani

“His perseverance has shown us that a chronic illness can be part of your story without ever defining your potential.”

Dinesh was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in the United States in 2004. His strength continues to inspire every step we take.

Jeremiah Henley

Foundation Ambassador

Jeremiah Henley

“Community grows stronger when people choose to show up for one another, and Jeremiah did exactly that from the very beginning.”

Jeremiah helped plan and set up the first Jasani Foundation Charity Walk. As an ambassador, he brings energy, thoughtfulness, and a commitment to helping the mission reach more people.
